ENGLAND: Tulips for Tapping, Norfolk

I had no idea it would be so beautiful. Louise sketched at the edge of the sea of colour, squatting in the path of instagrammers, while I wandered up and down accidentally filling my shoes with the dusty soil. We bought 99s from the ice cream van and ate them in the sun.

It’s a thing, Tulips for Tapping, a brilliant thing organised annually to raise money for Tapping House, a hospice in Norfolk that gives end of life care. The field is open for two weeks at the end of April/beginning of May, it’s a short window of opportunity (such is the life of a tulip flower) but if you can’t make it, you can always buy a tea towel.
